As an organisation, The First Step has a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults who are at risk, and so all our staff and volunteers undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check where appropriate. The First Step is an accredited Living Wage Employer, and also holds an Investors in People accreditation.

The First Step organisation operates across two sites:

Head Office and Community Services based in Huyton.
Accommodation Services for a women's and children’s refuge in Knowsley.

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic domestic and sexual violence advocate to join our expanding IDSVA team. Headed by an experienced IDSVA manager we are looking to continuously grow our support service and provide exceptional advocacy for high-risk victims of domestic abuse.
