As an organisation, The First Step has a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults who are at risk, and so all our staff and volunteers undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check where appropriate. The First Step is an accredited Living Wage Employer, and also holds an Investors in People accreditation.

The First Step organisation operates across two sites:

Head Office and Community Services based in Huyton.
Accommodation Services for a women's and children’s refuge in Knowsley.

We are looking for an enthusiastic day shift worker to join our team at Refuge! Working alongside our other staff to support our women and children fleeing abuse.

We are looking for a committed independent domestic and sexual violence advocate to join our growing team! The IDSVA role is to support the client to reduce the risk of significant harm.
